
The German Jordanian University celebrated the Seventy-Seventh Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the wedding of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah and Her Royal Highness Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein, under the auspices of the Student Affairs Deanship.The Event was attended by representatives from the official and popular sectors in the Naour district, Madaba Governorate, as well as the academic and administrative staff as well as students of the University.
During the ceremony, the University President, Professor Dr. Ala' Aldeen Al-Halhouli, emphasized that Independence Day is a cherished occasion in which we renew our commitment to the principles upon which the country was founded. He highlighted the values of unity, respect, and tolerance, and recognized the rich diversity that distinguishes Jordanians. He also recalled the sacrifices made by our ancestors and expressed pride in the progress achieved by the nation in various fields, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, technology, and innovation.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Thilal Oweis stated that the Independence Day is a significant occasion that carries many messages of loyalty to the land and country. She emphasized the importance of continuing on the path of limitless giving, as great nations deserve the sacrifice, loyalty, and full dedication of their people. She also highlighted the need to provide necessary security, intellectual freedom, creative opportunities, and equal opportunities for all.
The program of the Event included several parts, featuring performances by the Armed Forces music bands and the Greater Amman Municipality band. Students also presented poetry recitations, along with a traditional Dabkeh dance performance and a mural painting representing these occasions
