A delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq visited the German Jordanian University on Tuesday 10 June 2014, in order to explore the university’s profile and educational system.
Prof. Manar Fayyad, the Vice President of GJU, introduced the delegation to the university‘s educational programs, pointing out that GJU is a role model for an applied sciences university and high tech educational institution.
She further added that GJU presents a critical role in combining theory, application, and direction toward the needs of the labor market and industry, and graduating professional engineers who are able to enroll into the work field.
On his side, Dr. Nabil Al-A’araji, Head of the delegation, emphasized that the purpose of the visit is to explore the GJU experience closely, and transfer it to Iraq.
He also praised the university’s scientific and academic reputation at the level of the Arab world.
At the end of the meeting that was attended by the Iraqi cultural counselor, Dr. Abd-Al Raziq Al- Issa, and Dr. Akeel Al-Kazwini from the school of Applied Medical Sciences, the delegation had a tour through the university campus.
