Mr. Yan Bingchen, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges / Ministry of Education, People’s Republic of China visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) on Sunday 15th June, 2014.
The visit aimed at discussing the China’s vision of establishing an Arabian Chinese University in Jordan along the lines of GJU, and viewing GJU accomplishments, Schools, programs and experiences.
During the meeting, Prof. Manar Fayyad, the GJU Vice President, greeted the guests and spoke about the university’s educational system, programs, the unique specialties and the importance of the exchange year in Germany.
She also added that GJU is always open its doors to cooperate with international parties, that serve Jordan and the other countries as well.
For his part, Mr. Yan Bingchen was impressed by the highly advanced scientific and academic level of the university. He also emphasized that China is keen to embrace joint educational experiences to create academic environment and establish an Arabian Chinese University.
At the end of the visit, a wide discussion was held with the guests, where Prof. Fayyad explained and answered many questions regards the GJU‘s history, and its partnerships with many educational and Industrial institutions in Jordan and Germany.
