A delegation of academics from Princess Sumaya University for Technology visited the German Jordanian University on Tuesday 22 July, 2014, to view the aspects of collaboration in the joint Master Program of Enterprise System Engineering as well as the most mutual educational interests between the two universities.

 

Prof. Natheer Abu.Obeid, warmly welcomed the delegation of PSUT, praising this remarkable institution under the leadership of Prof. Issa E. Batarseh, the Former President of PSUT. He also congratulated Prof. Mashhoor Al-Refai for his promotion to president of PSUT, wishing him to continue the university successful Journey.

 

Prof. Abu.Obeid started the meeting by introducing GJU as a bright model of applied sciences university in the region, providing its students with unique specialties. He further highlighted the most features of GJU, mentioning the importance of the German year, the exchange programs for the Academic staff, and the great role of each of the International Office and the Office for Industrial Links, beside the GJU wide network with Germany.

 

For his part, Prof. Batarseh briefed about PSUT, its degree programs, faculties, future plan, vision and the latest achievements of the university. He also pointed out to the high rate of employment of the PSUT graduates in 2013.

 

The meeting bringing together the Deans of both universities, who are committed to present the main areas of collaboration for each faculty, beginning with the importance of intensifying joint undergraduate research projects funded by both GJU and PSUT, exchange scientific visits for academic staff and students, establish an annual meeting for outstanding students, and  joint supervision of research projects proposals. 

 

The Deans also took key decisions about the future development for the faculties they represent from both sides.
