The International Office at the German Jordanian University organized a welcoming meeting for the new incoming students who came from Germany on first semester 2014/2015 with the GJU figures.

Prof Natheer Abu. Obeid, the GJU’s President welcomed the new incoming students at the university and emphasized that they will get a great experience during their stay in Jordan , not only regards educational side but also the cultural side as GJU is already a platform for crossing cultures particularly to the German culture.

Prof. Abu Obeid affirmed that many organizations and institutions from different parts of the world that are not only educational parties visit GJU; because of its success story and great reputation.

The president also wished the incoming students a happy stay in Jordan and said that GJU opens its doors to all of them regards any inquires or help.

For his part, Prof Anton Mangstl, the Vice President for international Affairs, said that GJU programs have a unique and different features where the incoming students could combine them with their studies in Germany, urging them to seize this opportunity to learn more about Jordan.

Mr. Fawwaz Alsaqqar, Assistant to the Dean of Students Affairs, briefed on the Deanship of Student Affairs, its role as well as the multi activities that organized through it. On her side Dr. Andrea Christiansen, International Exchange Advisor at the International Office of GJU, gave a presentation about the university, its majors, features and schools.

Additionally, the incoming students have been briefed on the Arabic Language and Culture Program for German students through the school of languages that enable them to connect with the Jordanian people , and to be in touch with the Jordanian traditions and culture.

Note worth mentioning that the semester will include lots of excursions and activities for the incoming students to the Dead Sea, Mount Nebo, Madaba, Petra and Wadi Mujeb.
