The German Jordanian University (GJU) in collaboration with Charity Clothing Bank -Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization organized a donation campaign entitled “E7san Campaign “ that aims at fundraisingfor the Charity Clothing Bank to assist the local families in need.
Prof. Natheer Abu.Obeid, the GJU President emphasized that this charitable campaign strengthens the humanitarian spirit and social solidarity among students and provides a unique way to assist the local community.
The president added that it is also a way to make a real impact for members of our local area, and support our overall mission of creating unique environment within our community by assisting local families in need as well as provide important educational programs for our local community at large.
For his part, Mr. Adel Hawatmeh, Lecturer of the National Education Course , pointed out that this initiative comes within the World Day Volunteering, adding that GJU cooperated with the Charity Clothing Bank too keep the donations boxes inside the campus so that students and staff can donate to help the lives of those who are going through rough times.
He further displayed a video about the charitable initiatives that were organized by GJU during the years 2013 -2014.
The event was attended by Mr.Jamal Al.Fayez , Governor of Naour, Ms. Lina Dawood Director of Charity Clothing Bank , Prof. Manar Fayyad, the GJU Vice President, Dr. Yasser Rajjal , Assistant to the President for Communications and Public Relations and some of the GJU academic and administrative staff as well as group of students.
