A delegation from Chemnitz Technical University (TUC) visited GJU on Sunday, 6th of March, 2016, in order to follow up the discussions between the two universities in regard to a planned Sandwich PhD Program, to be launched possibly in the year 2016/17.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Anton Mangstl, Vice President for International Affairs , Prof. Dr. Salem Al-Agtash, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Jochen Pleines, Dean of School of Applied Humanities and Languages and Dr. Dorothea Jecht, Director of International Office.
Dr. Salem and Dr. Pleines presented the Joint Doctorate of Philosophy Program that is offered by TUC and GJU. They discussed with attendees the structure of the program , the selection process and the criteria.
For their parts , Prof. Dr. Heinrich Lang and Dr. Alexander Jakob form TUC delivered a presentation about the Clean Water Project, which is based on the available water at the points of withdrawal (for example, sea water, (deep) wells) an innovative consecutive inter- and trans-disciplinary technological concept will be intended including research, development and implementation.
