Students from the School of Applied Humanities and Languages (SAHL) visited the Social Securities Corporation (SSC) to get an overview on how the corporation works to offer people insurance services.

The students were given a detailed presentation by Mr. Musa Subeihi, Head of Media Department at the SSC, who explained how the corporation plays a vital role in ensuring that every individual employed or not is offered a fair insurance service as per the Jordanian employment law.  Mr. Subeihi briefed the students about the corporation’s objectives, its operational and functional strategies, accomplishments so far, and future goals.

The aim of this service is to make sure that people from the working class receive security in terms of a stable income after retirement.  Mr. Subeihi then went on talking about the types of insurances offered by the SSC and the percentages of salaries paid per year to people as retirement salaries. He also talked about the conditions for registering at the SSC and the different age groups enrolled at the SSC.

At the end of the presentation, the students were given a chance to ask questions regarding employment rights and statistics on how much money does the corporation spend each year on pensions and compensations.

SAHL students were grateful and enthusiastic about their informative visit in which they got the chance to learn about the tasks and goals of the SSC and its role in ensuring an equal service of employment insurance in the country.
