The board of the Chemical Engineering Division at the Jordan Engineering Association (JEA) met the faculty members of the Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering department (PCE) at the School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS) at GJU on Thursday 24 March.

Both sides discussed ways of cooperation that benefit the graduated chemical engineers. Dr. Linda Al-Hmoud, the board head of the Chemical Engineering Division at JEA, has confirmed the endeavor of the board to communicate with all chemical engineers at their different locations.

This extends to communicate with the faculty members at the chemical engineering departments in the various Jordanian universities. Therefore, the visit to GJU comes within the framework of empowering numbers of fresh graduate chemical engineers and seeking ways of cooperation between the Engineers Training Center at JEA and GJU.

In this context, Dr. Malyuba Abu Daabes, the Dean of SAMS, has welcomed the JEA delegation and explained that GJU is an applied university, seeks to build bridges of cooperation with JEA and the different industrial sectors to raise its engineers competency within some qualification programs. On the other hand, Eng. Mohammad Abu Hammour has explained that JEA seeks to follow up the engineers after their graduation to provide them with the necessary training courses necessary for engaging them in the labor market.

In addition, JEA seeks protecting the engineering profession and provide several services to its members. Both parties have discussed preparing a qualification program on the Pharmaceutical industries for chemical engineers. This program includes theoretical and applied topics with a duration of 80 hours, where only fresh chemical engineers can join this program.

The program will be executed in collaboration with the Engineers Training Center at JEA and PCE at GJU.
