German Jordanian University GJU has participated in Australia-Middle East Conference on Business and Social Sciences 2016 that was organized by the Australian Academy for Business and Social Sciences during the period 17-18 April 2016, in Dubai , UAE.
Dr. Malek Alsharairi, the associate professor from the International Accounting Department at GJU, has been awarded the “Best Paper Award” at the conference. Dr. Alsharairi presented a research paper entitled “Does Arab Spring have a spillover effect on Dubai Financial Market”.
Key note speakers from the US, Australia and UAE spoke at the conference opening emphasizing that the main objective of AMECBSS 2016 is to promote and publish relevant and current ideas that are important for global academics in particular and the businesses, societies and economies at large. Business experts, economists and academics from more than 20 countries presented contemporary issues in the fields of business, accounting finance and economics for discussion. Dr. Alsharairi chaired one of the conference sessions as well.
