German Jordanian University GJU signed an agreement in order to establish a Cisco Academy at GJU. The agreement was signed by the vice president of the university Prof. Manar Fayyad on behalf of GJU, and Mr. Hani Raad, General Manager Iraq and Levant - Cisco on behalf of Cisco Systems, in the presence of HRH Princesses Sumayya bint Al Hasan at the Cisco Networking Academy Partners Conference, which was held at PSUT University between 1-2 November, 2016.

Prof. Manar expressed her pleasure that GJU will be joining Cisco Networking Academy Program that identifies and develops the skills of individuals and institutions which need to thrive in a digital world, and obtaining all technical support and training courses provided by Cisco systems in the fields of computer networks, Communications, and Internet of Things (IoT).

 

This agreement will particularly help GJU students acquire skills needed to build, design, and maintain networks and thus improving their career prospects while filling the global demand for networking professionals.

For their part, Dr. Sahel Alouneh, Dean of Electrical and Information Technology School and Dr. Rami Alazrai Head of Computer Engineering department and Cisco Academy founder at GJU,  emphasized that GJU is always keen to provide an excellent world class technology through scientific labs, workshops and competencies to train and qualify students and provide them with the knowledge, and finally to engage them in the labor market.
