The German Jordanian University and cewas Middle East signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to jointly work on increasing and improving the employment opportunities for students through entrepreneurship, mentor sessions and training courses to develop sustainable solutions in the field of water and resource management.
The Office for Industrial Links of GJU has established PIE (Program Innovation and Entrepreneurship) in 2013 to support students in establishing their startups businesses. And under this MoU, the university and PIE could achieve their goals and spread the spirit of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship among students and youth, especially through such a collaboration with cewas Middle East, since it is a start-up program specialized for Entrepreneurs, Young professionals, where they are providing one-to-one coaching sessions all geared to help youth follow their dream and put their innovative business idea into practice.
This memo aims to establishing a partnership between both sides, based on joining lectures, events, exchanging expertise, suggestions and thoughts.
The MoU was signed by Professor Natheer Abu Obeid on behalf of GJU, by Ms. Lillain Volat on behalf of cewas Middle East and by Mr. Michael Kropac on behalf of cewas, International Center for water management services.
The Water and Business Challenge 2017
Currently students and professionals are invited to join the cewas Middle East Water and Business Challenge with the objective to develop new sustainable projects, products, services and business ideas in the water, sanitation or waste sector.
