The German Jordanian University (GJU) achieved a national achievement by attaining the five-stars category in the National Classification of Universities; issued by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance for Higher Education Institution in Jordan.
The National Classification of Universities has been adopted for the first time on several dimensions; Teaching, the International Dimension, Scientific Research and the Quality of Graduates according to the labor market and international accreditation.
The President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad said that this national achievement is a source of pride for the GJU's academic and administrative family and students, considering it as a motivation for more achievements to remain along with the rest of the Jordanian universities a lighthouse of science, creativity and innovation.
She clarified that the employment rate among GJU’s graduates is very high, and their expertise meets the requirements of the national and Arab labor market of qualified and professional engineers, in addition to the German experience in management and industry received during the students’ stay in Germany for one year as a prerequisite for graduation.
Also, Fayyad added that the university has strong relations with the German side as it has signed more than 100 memorandums of understanding with the German universities partners and has strong relations with the German industrial sector to facilitate the students’ learning experience in Germany.
She pointed out that GJU is considered as a cultural bridge connecting Jordan to Europe through Germany, providing Jordanian youth the opportunity to interact with German and European youth to build a better future for the new generations.
She explained that GJU has always supported scientific research and motivated students and faculty members to benefit from funding opportunities from national or international research institutions, mentioning that GJU ranked the top in research funding from Jordan’s Scientific Research Fund in 2016.
Additionally, Fayyad stated that the Graduate School of Business Administration (GSBA) at GJU has obtained international accreditation from the International Credit Accreditation Foundation for Business Administration (FIBAA).
