  الأستاذ الدكتور زياد مسعود حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه في الهندسة الميكانيكية من جامعة فرجينيا تك (Virginia Tech)، فيرجينيا، الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في عام 2000 تشمل اهتماماته البحثية الحالية أنظمة التحكم غير التقليدية للرافعات، والتحكم في الاهتزاز للأنظمة متعددة حرية الحركة، وتصميم ناقل الحركة المتغير الغير محدود للمركبات الهجينة.
