Dr. Waed Shakkouri is an Assistant Professor at the German Jordanian University, specializing in German as a Foreign Language, intercultural communication, and technology-enhanced language education.

Her research focuses on intercultural communication, generative AI in education, technology-enhanced language learning, transnational education, reflective learning, listening comprehension, and language assessment.
Her experience includes university teaching, curriculum and assessment development, student mobility coordination, and international academic cooperation. She leads an interdisciplinary research cluster and the SyrIA subproject supporting capacity building for Syrian universities.
She has completed professional development courses in Enhancing University Digital Learning Experiences and Creative Teaching Using Artificial Intelligence and Blended Learning.
