The Arabic Language and Culture Program (ALC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a series of cultural activities in cooperation with Goethe Institute- Amman and the International Office of GJU.

One of the activities was attending “Horizon “ Film screening. The film is directed by the Jordanian young director Zein Dre’ee. The film tackles the issue of women rights in Jordan and has won several national and international awards.

A group of Goethe Institute students along with GJU students carried out several activities to train the German students on some of the terms and phrases in Arabic, and explain to them the idea behind the film. The (ALC) studnets also enjoyed a discussion circle with the director of the film and discussed with her many topics related to women rights in Jordan.

It is worth mentioning that there will be another film screening this week. The film is directed by Dr. Ahmad Gulbol, a lecturer at the School of Architecture and Built Environment.
