Workshop on Course Folder and Publications Features in MyGJU

February 21, 2019

Dear Colleagues,

Under the patronage of the President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad you are all cordially invited to attend a workshop on the new course folder & publications features in MyGJU.

The event will take place on Thursday February, 21, 2019 in Auditorium-C at 12 p.m.

This workshop is very important as it is designed to guide you through the transition to make MyGJU a single point of contact with your students regarding basic e-learning tasks such as sharing slides, notes and assignments (besides the existing features related to grades, syllabus and schedules). Instructors will be able to upload files from a shared MyGJU course folder or from their computers to their weekly schedules. The shared folder directories and files have privileges that enable you to keep the files private or share them with a group or everyone. When using this feature you can collaborate with your students from MyGJU without the need to go to Moodle except for dedicated tasks such as quizzes, etc. Furthermore, course coordinators will be able to build a weekly schedule for one course section and then link it to all other sections, which will save a lot of time and effort. Another fancy feature that was introduced in MyGJU is the publications flow, which allows instructors manage publications and use Crossref to import their publications to MyGJU for archiving and other future purposes (e.g., automatic generation of promotion forms, etc.).

Academic staff attendance is highly encouraged and welcome.

More to come soon …

Best regards,

Dr. Firas Al-Hawari
