On Sunday, November 18, 2018, The Department of Medical Engineering at School of Applied Medical Sciences at German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a seminar on the success story of Engineer Ruba Al Qudah, in the presence of the Acting Dean of the school of Basic Sciences and Humanities (SBSH) Dr. Akeel  Al-Kazwini, Vice Dean of the School of Applied Medical Sciences (SAMS) Dr. Walid Al-Zyoud, Dr. Munib  Saket and Dr. Thelal Aweys.

The seminar aims at educating students about the labor market and its environment by highlighting the success story of Alqda who graduates as the first batch of Medical Engineering students at the university.

Alqda reviewed her work journey after graduation from GJU and now she is working in “Jordan Hearing Tec” Company, which deals with the life of the hearing impaired.

She talked about the hearing technologies that the company is well known, which is one of the most important companies in the field of hearing technologies and hearing snails.

In this regard, she mentioned the initiative which was launched for hearing impaired people entitled "Hearing Without Boarder", adopted by Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah.

Alqda gave a number of tips to the students when applying for a job such as, to shorten the CV to one page as much as possible, and to have good knowledge about the company or organization that the person wants to work with.

Also she explained the relationship between colleagues within the company and the relationship of staff and manager, which requires in all cases mutual respect, listening and good understanding that ultimately lead to adaptation the work environment.

At the end of the seminar, there was discussion with the students about the available training and practical opportunities. Alqda welcomed the cooperation with the students by providing them with training opportunities after graduation.
