On Wednesday 31 October 2018, the Health and Environment Club- Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), at the German Jordanian University (GJU), hosted the Jordan Breast Cancer Program (JBCP), as part of the National Campaign of the Pink Month, to raise awareness about Breast Cancer and the importance of early detection.

JBCP aims to coordinate breast cancer early detection efforts across Jordan, provide screening services to Jordanian women, and raise public awareness about Breast Cancer.

During the campaign, JBCP conducted a lecture where concepts related to breast cancer were identified, in addition to the stages of the disease and the importance of early detection and screening. Furthermore, a free clinical examination, blood donation and a bake sale were held. GJU’s students helped in collecting 50 blood units and fundraising.

The JBCP distributed publications that illustrate practical actions to assist women to perform the self-examination besides the locations that provide early detection tests for Breast Cancer.
