A delegation from Beirut Arab University, visited the German Jordanian University to foster collaboration and explore partnership opportunities. The delegation, which consisted of its president, Prof. Wael Abdel Majeed, and its Secretary General, Dr. Omar Houry, engaged in productive discussions with GJU's President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration, His Excellency Mr. Tawfiq Krishan about joint projects that serve the both universities.

During his meeting with the delegation, GJU’s President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, pointed out that GJU was established as a translation of the visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II and was modelled on the German applied-sciences model, characterized by their focus on putting knowledge into practice and on promoting knowledge transfer.

For his part, Abdul Majeed gave a briefing on Beirut Arab University and its faculties and programs, pointing to the possibility of building partnerships and cooperation in the field of cultural exchange and scientific research.

At the end of the meeting, which was attended by Vice President Prof. Malik Al-Sharairi, Dean of Scientific Research Prof. Rami Alazrai and Director of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Department Dr. Samer Alabed the visiting delegation toured a number of GJU’s facilities, including the library and the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship learning about its role in promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation in society.
