The General Secretariat of The Higher Council for Science and Technology announced allocating El Hassan Bin Talal Award for Scientific Excellence for this year to the General Education excluding Vocational Institutions.
In 1995, the Higher Council established this award in recognition of the distinguished status of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal – President of HCST, and HRHs’ role in supporting science, scientists, excellence, innovation, and encouraging scientific and technological activities in all educational and training institutions.
The award committee headed by HRH Princess Tharwat El Hassan approved a set of foundations and criteria for evaluating the competing projects, such as excellence, community service, and that the project is defined and presented collectively and institutionally.
The award institutions are classified into three categories, institutions for general education (excluding the vocational), institutions of higher education (excluding the vocational), and institutions of vocational and technical education.
The first prize award is 10.000 JD, the second prize award is 7.000 JD, and the third prize award is 5.000 JD.
Each year the results are announced on March 20, coinciding with the birth of HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal. In April of every year, a ceremony honoring the winners under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal.
The deadline for submitting projects is 31/01/2020.
