Amman - 30 March, 2014

Under the patronage of GJU’s President Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, the Deanship of Students’ Affairs announced on Sunday, 29.03.2015 the planting of new trees at the garden which was named after Muath Al-Kasabeh.

Faculty members, Students and Administration were very happy to be part of the celebration and to contribute in planting so many trees at the campus.

Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid pointed out during the celebration that planting trees at Muath Al-Kasasbeh’s garden is a way of delivering a message to the Martyr and all Jordanians that Muath will live long in the memory of GJU’s Students, Faculty Members and Administration Staff. He added, that it is very important to the university to covert its’ lands to agricultural ones through keening on planting trees all over the campus.

This event reminds us about the importance of trees in recognition of Jordan’s Arbor Day, which is being celebrated today with tree plantings taking places all over the country.

Planting trees at Muath Al-Kasasbeh’s garden on Arbor Day is a clear indication of how much the hero Martyr is appreciated here at the University. It also enhances the love and belonging feelings of students to the land.
