On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, The Social Committee at German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a ceremony to honor female colleagues working at the university on the occasion of Mother's Day and International Women's Day.
This event, which was attended by the President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad and a number of colleagues at the university, in order to honor them and thank them for their efforts at work.
During the ceremony, Fayyad delivered a speech in which she said that the mother is the basis of giving and the symbol of sacrifice. She valued the great role that women offer in their lives, especially in the practical field.
The Head of the Social Committee at GJU Bara’a Alquda, stressed the importance of celebrating women in recognition of their efforts and achievements. Pointing to the role of the Committee in organizing such occasions to honor the woman as mother, sister, daughter and wife, which is half the society.
At the end of the ceremony, the mothers were honored for their great and distinguished work.
