On Tuesday 14th of August 2018, under the patronage of the president of German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Manar Fayyad, Ebtikar Association in collaboration with GJU, celebrated the graduation of “Ebtikar Scientific Camp” for teachers and students.
Head of Ebtikar Association, Mrs. Suraya Ayyad, appreciated the university’s continuous support and collaboration to the association’s events and projects, represented by the president, the Consultation and Training Center (CTC), and the academic and administrative staff.
She said that the camp aims to assist science teachers in raising the motivation and interest of their students towards science, through scientific research experiences in physics, chemistry, life sciences and geology in an integrated approach that connects scientific concepts and laws and their applications, in easy experiments, enjoyable and affordable.
The ceremony included speeches conducted by graduates students and teachers, besides a video on the activities during the camp.
The camp consisted of 8 days, in which 3 days were allocated for teachers, and two days of joint training for teachers and students. It included activities in the fields of physics, biology and chemistry, and scientific field trip.
It is worthy to mention that the students learned the principles of innovation and invention under the theme (how scientists work - how the inventors work).
At the end of the ceremony, Fayyad handed the certificates to the graduates.
