In collaboration with the Thai Embassy, the German Jordanian University and the American University of Madaba organized a workshop about watercolors given by a group of Thai artists who visited Jordan recently to participate in an exhibition that will be held at the Thai embassy on the occasion of the 50th anniversary celebrations of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Jordan.
This workshop was held at the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE ) in the presence of the Thai Ambassador to Jordan Apichart Phetcharatana, and the Dean of SABE Dr. Mohammad Yaghan, where both sides expressed their resolve to expand and deepen further cooperation, emphasizing on the importance of this workshop to help students to interact in applied research activities.
In this workshop, students will gain a better understanding of how to capture the essence of a subject. Through the simplification process, which begins with visualization, students will learn how to create a simple and strong watercolor painting, and will know more about the relationship of tonal values and colors, and a variety of techniques in oriental painting style and fast painting.
