On  Thursday 11th of December, the German Jordanian University GJU received delegates from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq , in order to discuss how to strengthen cooperation in the field of higher education between both countries, also to view the university's academic experience, scientific career, and future plans.

 

Prof. Natheer Abu.Obeid, the GJU President briefed the delegates on GJU's objectives, specialties, and programs; in addition to the university's achievements and mission in producing sought-after, eligible, and qualified graduates who are able to survive the market at any time.     

 

The president highlighted the critical importance of the fourth year in asserting students' identity and building their practical experience in Germany, mentioning the great role of each of the International Office and the Office for Industrial Links in paving the students to go through valuable year of study and internship. 

 

Prof. Fouad Mohammad, Pharmacology and Toxicology-Ministry Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, hailed the advanced scientific level of GJU, expressing his wish to sign MoU with the university as a beginning to build up an educational institution modeled by the GJU.

 

The delegation had a tour through the labs of the School of Applied Medical Sciences. It is worthy to mention that the meeting attended by Dr. Yasser Rajjal, Assistant to the President for Communications and Public Relations and Dr. Akeel Al-Kazwini from the School of Medical Applied Sciences. Form the Iraqi delegation side, Prof. Nabeel Al-Sahib, President of Alnahrain University and Prof. A.Razak.Al-Essa, Cultural Attaché- Iraqi Embassy.
