On Thursday 30th of March , 2017 a delegation from Fulda university of Applied Sciences headed by its president  Prof. Karim Khakzar visited the German Jordanian University to discuss several ways of future cooperation between both sides.

Professor Natheer Abu Obeid, President of GJU warmly welcomed the delegation and gave a short overview about the university which became a unique model of higher education among other universities in the region and bridging the two countries cultures.

President also remarked the significance of the German year for the GJU students where they would be a good ambassadors of their country, adding that GJU represented by its staff and students are so enthusiastic to maintain and even develop this partnership with the  university of Fulda and hoping to witness a further collaborations in different areas. 

On his side , Professor Khakzar said that the delegation is  delighted to have had the opportunity to visit GJU  and see first-hand the different interested and innovative programs and projects happening at this university. He also discussed with the GJU Vice Presidents, Professor Dorit Schumann and Professor Manar Fayyad as well as some of GJU deans and academic members a new possible ways to enhance joint collaborations and programs.

The delegation had a tour to the GJU campus and some laboratories like the Biogas lab, Solar cooling System and the Research lab of Medical Sciences, in addition to a special visit to Darat Othman Bedier in Jabal Amman  , where the School of Architecture is located.

Finally, both sides signed different cooperation agreements in various fields.
