A delegation from Khalifa University of Science and Technology in the United Arab Emirates visited the German Jordanian University (GJU) and met with its president, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, to discuss ways of collaboration in areas of common interest.

Dr. Al-Halhouli presented a brief about the university, the establishment, the German dimension, the German Year, and the various partnerships and projects between the two sides. Dr. Alhalhouli stressed that GJU vision to be internationally recognized as an applied science university and a leader in education besides growing partnerships with educational institutions, and developing initiatives and projects that serve the younger generation.

Representatives of Khalifa University gave the students and faculty members a presentation to introduce the university, its specializations, and the scholarships offered to master’s and doctoral students for engineering, science, and medicine majors, noting that Khalifa University is the one university in the UAE with the research and academic programs that address the entire range of strategic, scientific and industrial challenges facing the UAE’s knowledge economy transformation and rapidly evolving world.

At the end of the visit, which was attended by the Dean of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawreh, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Thelal Oweis, and Vice Dean, Dr. Hani Mohsen, the delegation toured the university's facilities and the nano lab.
