An administrative delegation from Magdeburg-stendal University of Applied Sciences visited German Jordanian University GJU to learn first hand about the university as main partner on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. The delegation met with staff and discussed several ways of future cooperation, as well as expanded their knowledge of the respective administrative units and services.  

The delegation received a warm welcome by Professor Natheer Abu Obeid, President of GJU, who said that Magdeburg University is a main strategic partner for GJU and expressed his pride of this partnership and the continuous cooperation in various areas.

Professor Dorit Schumann, the GJU Vice President for International Affairs , emphasized that GJU is a successful story of the German- Jordanian relationships in the area of educational exchange. She also spoke about the importance of the fourth German year for students.

The delegation was introduced to the International Office and its important role in  helping GJU students in their exchange year and connecting with the GJU partners as well as Magdeburg-Stendal. Delegates were introduced also to the Office for Industrial links, its services and how it plays a big role in helping students in their internships in Germany.

During the visit the delegation visited a number of GJU schools like School of Applied Medical Sciences, School of Applied Technical Sciences , School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management and the School of Architecture and Built Environment in Jabal Amman.
