On Wednesday, May 15, 2019, the Business Students Club at the German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted Dr. Amjad Aryan, Owner of Pharmacy One chains in Jordan to share his success story and motivate the students.

The Dean of the School of Management and Logistic Science (SMLS) Dr. Malek Alsharairi, the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Raed Khasawneh, faculty members and a large number of GJU’s students attended the session.

Aryan finished Tawjihi and traveled to the United States of America with the aim to study Pharmaceutical Sciences. Instead, he worked in carpet cleaning. He was vulnerable and with no confidence, but deep down he knew that he could do anything, and within four years, he owned a carpet cleaning company. He realized that “Success is Contagious.”

Aryan decided to go back to school, he pursuit an acceptance to Massachusetts College of pharmacy in Boston where he learned the recipe to success “Passion, not just ability, makes anyone successful”.

With the “I can do” “Passion” “challenge” powers, besides the knowledge and experience, he decided to go back to Jordan to start another journey of success and hardships. Aryan says that life is not a straightforward road it is a roller coaster and it is a maze too, he concluded that one has to be persistence and look for exits.

Aryan opened the first branch of Pharmacy one in Amman in 2001, now he owns 90. He spoke about the human power behind Pharmacy one, the unrestricted and capable vision to adapt with variables, and the advanced management methods applied in Pharmacy one chains.

Aryan and GJU students engaged together in an inspirable conversation, Aryan took the opportunity to advise the students and open their eyes to some life lessons.
