On January 16th, 2019, the German Jordanian University (GJU), with Flying Faculty Prof. Torsten Sander from the University of Applied Sciences Ostfalia conducted an E-Learning Workshop.

The workshop was organized and attended by the Head of the E-Learning committee and Vice-President Prof. Dorit Schumann and the new head of the committee Dr. Mohammad AlDaoud.

The E-Learning committee members attended from several GJU schools, departments, and centres.

Prof. Sander brings in his experience in teaching mathematics and IT courses online in study programmes (Bachelor and Master) which are offered 100% online.

Ostfalia University is a member of the Virtual FH in cooperation with ten universities, mainly located in Germany.

In the workshop, the Flying Faculty Prof. Sander presented the online and traditional concept of his university, the concept of the online teaching, the administration, the technical solution for teaching virtual classes and insight into his individual experience in teaching online.

After a fruitful discussion, many questions and ideas, GJU and Prof. Sanders agreed to activate the cooperation agreement between both universities in general and on the schools and departments level. In addition to starting joint activities for E-Learning, such as: Inviting selected 3rd-year GJU students to online courses from UAS Ostfalia in the future or starting bi-national co-teaching ideas for the future.
