The Department of Social Work/- School of Applied Humanities and Languages (SAHL) at the German Jordanian University (GJU ),  represented by Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Ralf Rosskopf, the Head of Social Work Department, Dr. Badir Madi, and Exchange Coordinator, Prof. Christine Hildebrandt, participated in that conference of the development of a European Master's Degree in Transnational Community Development, which was hosted in the University of Applied Sciences in Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS).

The consortium met for the first time with FHWS in Wuerzburg to develop the didactical outline and the administrative framework.

The Master's follows an interdisciplinary approach and aims to enable graduates to recognize specifics of transnational communities in order to cope with the challenges of community building in transnational contexts and to be able to act responsibly.

The consortium consists of DIAK, Finland's largest provider of UAS-level education in social work; VID, the third-largest private higher education institution in Norway, Transilvania University of Brasov in Romania, University of Applied Sciences in Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt and the Social Work Department at GJU.
