On Thursday, April 25, 2019, The German Jordanian University (GJU) in cooperation with the Specialty Hospital organized a Free Medical Day for the local community in Na’ur and Madaba Governorate, in presence of the President of GJU Prof. ManarFayyad, the General Director of the Specialty Hospital Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri and the Director of Jrainah Sub-District Dr. Osama Al-Hashem.

More than (25) doctors and administrators participated from the Specialty Hospital in specialties of orthopedics, general surgery, women and children, blood pressure and diabetes testing, eye examination and nutrition, where about (500) citizens from the local community  have been benefited from the event.

Fayyad said that the Medical Day is a translation of the mission of the university and its role in the service of society; achieve the meanings of social solidarity and effective communication with the local community. Also, she expressed appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the Medical Day.

She stressed that the university is continuing to organize various events that will benefit society and reflect a sense of community responsibility.

Al-Hammouri said "This participation is a continuation of the Specialty Hospital approach to serving the local community and our belief that health for all and that all institutions must cooperate to provide distinguished medical services to citizens and resident.

He pointed out that this cooperation comes within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed with GJU in the field of exchange of experiences, training of students, scientific research, training courses and social responsibility activities.

At the end of the Medical Day, which was supported by the Specialty Hospital, Dar Al Dawa Company, United Insurance Company and Na’ur Medical Laboratory, the Vice President Dr. Atef Kharabsheh appreciated the efforts of all the supporters and he distributed certificates of appreciation to them.
