The German Jordanian University (GJU), in cooperation with Civil Defense Directorate in Madaba, celebrated World Civil Defense Day under the theme civil protection and management of displaced population groups during natural disasters and crises. The event also included an explanation of the role of volunteers and epidemic combat.
The event was attended by the Vice President of GJU, Prof. Malek Al-Sharairi, the Director of Civil Defense in Madaba, the Dean Assistant of Student Affairs, Dr. Hani Mohsen, students, and employees.
The participants learned about safety measures and protection skills, and equipment used in various emergencies such as firefighting, suffocation, and fracture.
It also included conducting diabetes and blood pressure examinations for visitors to the exhibition and distributing brochures and posters to promote public awareness about civil defense, civil protection, and emergency management.
