The German Jordanian University is currently participating in the global Hult Prize competition 2021, which was recently launched with the participation of student teams representing more than 2000 universities from all over the world.

The competition challenges young people to solve the world’s toughest issues by empowering them to make money, do good, and make life better for millions of people through the creation of for-good for-profit businesses. This year's challenge is "Food for Good" where the winning team receives a Million Dollar worth of prize.

President of GJU Prof. Manar Fayyad said that she is very proud of GJU students' participation in the Hult Prize competition for the fourth year through the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), expressing the importance of food security, especially during the current pandemic (Covid 19).

The competition coordinator, GJU student Sarah Al-Zubaidi, explained that the first stage of the competition begins where university teams compete with each other.

After that, the winning team chooses one country out of 25 to begin another phase where they get intensive training to transform their ideas into actual projects. In the end, six teams will be nominated to win the grand prize.

She mentioned that the Hult Prize team at GJU held a series of initiatives, training, and workshops to motivate students to participate in the competition, as well as holding meetings with contestants around the world and providing educational and motivational content on social media platforms to reach the largest number of followers in Jordan.

Good luck, Hult Prize team! We wish you all the best.
