On the 24th of May 2017, German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a huge national festival to celebrate Independence Day, where GJU’s family and students expressed their loyalty to the country and the Hashemite leadership outlining the kingdom’s achievements since independency.

President of GJU Prof. Natheer Abu Obied said during the festival that was organized by The Deanship of Students Affairs that this celebration comes in the middle of huge achievements to our country because of His Majesty King Abdullah II leadership in many areas such as economics, education and culture.

Abu Obied assured GJU’s efforts in strengthen national concepts among the

students through encouraging them to be part of the society and support their initiatives that reflect citizenship.

From his side Dean of the Deanship of Students Affairs Dr. Omar AlShbailat said that the Hashemite vision since the beginning is to take care of human being, especially the youth because they are the future and the engine of the nation, indicating that GJU is an outcome of one of king Abdullah’s vision to produce a promising youth that contribute in the development of the country.

The festival included a traditional and poetical paragraphs inspired from the spirit of the occasion, and al Darak self-defense show, besides exhibitions and traditional bazars that represent the local charities in Madaba and Na’our.
