Under the patronage of Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, the German Jordanian University President, GJU celebrated the 69th Anniversary of Independence Day along with GJU 10th Anniversary Celebrations, on Wednesday 27 May 2015. 

 

The event included a varied program of activities that organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, a series of national musical activities performed by the Arm Forces Band and the singer Ziad Saleh. During the ceremony, the participants of the Allgäu-Orient-Rallye had arrived, where GJU is a main station for this Rally, which was organized in cooperation with the Crown Prince's Office to encourage the youth generation to engage in the social and volunteer work.     

 

Prof. Abu Obeid highlighted the importance of Independence Day, saying that independence represented an opportunity for Jordanians to seek progress and development, it is more giving and belonging to our Jordan.   

 

He also asserted that GJU graduates are shaped to be future leaders, serving their country.   

 

Dr. Yousef Al-Abdallat, the Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized that it is an opportunity  to express our love to this country, wishing to Jordan to be blessed always with safety and security. 

 

At the ceremony that was attended by a number of GJU School members, administrators and students, many booths of art, snacks and drinks were inaugurated on the sidelines of the ceremony.

 

GJU would like to seize this opportunity to congratulate the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan celebrating 69 years of stability and evolution.
