Under the patronage of Prof. Natheer Abu Obeid, President of the German Jordanian University , GJU celebrated the 70th Anniversary of Independence Day along with the 100th anniversary of the Great Arab Revolt celebrations.

The event included a varied program of activities in addition to a series of national musical activities that were organized by the GJU students under the umbrella of the Deanship of Student Affairs.

Jordan Independence Day is observed on May 25 every year in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, commemorating the date in 1946 when the country achieved independence from Britain. In this time of the year, Jordan celebrates its freedom.

At the ceremony that was attended by a number of GJU School members, administrators and students, many booths of art, snacks and drinks were inaugurated on the sidelines of the ceremony and organized by some organizations from the local community in Naour and Madaba.

GJU would like to seize this opportunity to congratulate the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan celebrating 70 years of stability and evolution.
