On Wednesday 30th of March, a delegation from the German Jordanian University (GJU) visited Al- Quds University in order to learn more about the Dual Studies programs that have been launched recently by Al Quds University.

Professor Anton Mangstl, GJU Vice President of International Affairs and Ms. Britta Kähler, Director of Office for Industrial Links met with the team of the Dual Studies programs including some representatives from the GIZ.

The delegation was briefed about the programs, especially the electrical engineering programs, information technology and business management by Dr. Tarek Abu Leil, Founding Dean of the Dual Studies. The delegation also met with students of the electrical engineering dual program during one of the program classes. The students talked about their experiences and reasons of joining this program and explained why it is so important to also get hands-on experience with the industry during their studies.

Prof. Imad Abu Kishek, President of Al Quds University, gave an overview about the university’s accomplishments, system and programs and discussed possibilities of cooperation between the two universities.

Following the visit to Al-Quds University, the delegation visited two companies, ETCO Engineering for Trading and Contracting, and AXOS Technologies in Ramallah, which are successfully participating in the program by hosting students during their practical phases of the Dual Studies.
