The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, discussed with representatives of the Syndicate of Car Owners, Engineer Muhammad Shaheen, and Engineer Osama Dghaish ways of collaboration between the two sides in areas of common interest.

During the meeting, they discussed automotive sector in the Kingdom and institutionalizing its specifications in coordination with the relevant authorities, emphasizing the importance of finding unified specifications for cars, tires, and storage methods that take into account environmental requirements and meet the needs of traders and consumers in addition to safety measurements.

Dr. Al-Halhouli indicated that the university welcomes all forms of cooperation and coordination with the country’s institutions in the public and private sectors to provide solutions to the various challenges through the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship that was established to support the university’s efforts to strengthen GJU applied approach and innovation.

Dr. Al-Halhouli presented the benefits of joining efforts with the School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS), the School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management (SNREM), and the Traffic Safety Center for the development of the sector, in addition to involving students due to their experience gained through the local and international internships.

The delegation visited the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship and was introduced to the Deanship's work and the Dual Studies Program.
