The Deanship of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a graduation ceremony of the fifth batch from the training program offered by Jordan Start within the Mobile FabLab Digital Manufacturing Laboratory, the first of its kind in Jordan to provide digital education, especially in the digital manufacturing skills required to increase youth employment opportunities, with the support of Orange.

 

The President of GJU, Prof. Ala’aldeen Alhalhouli, the Dean of DI-TECH, Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawreh, and the Director of Jordan Start, Eng. Ibrahim Faza, and the Director of FabLab, Riham Abdulraheem, attended the closing ceremony.

Dr. Alhalhouli stressed GJU’s keenness in equipping the students with such training to maximize their qualifications for the labor market and start up their businesses.

 

The Mobile FabLab operates in several regions; Mafraq, Jerash, Ajloun, and the Hashemite University in Zarqa, to provide an integrated structure for young men and women interested in learning and training on the latest devices, tools, and software in the field of digital manufacturing such as web development, technology-enabled design and cutting, scanning and 3D printing, design, manufacturing of electronic panels and programming, to advance their opportunities in the labor market and leadership.

  

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Alhalhouli, faza, and Abdulraheem handed the certificate to the graduates.
