The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent Election Commission, His Excellency Engineer Musa AlMaaitah, patronized the graduation ceremony of the German Jordanian University (GJU) students who participated in the Ana Usharek Program implemented by the Independent Commission for Elections in (27) public and private universities, in partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation.

Al-Maaytah stressed the importance of the youth's role in political work and the party since the Jordanian state worked to provide all means of support to empower them politically, economically, culturally, and socially according to the vision of the state.

Al-Maaytah added that he hopes that the youth will have achieved the desired goals of this program, such as building their capabilities and understanding the basic principles of the democratic process, enhancing political participation, understanding the concepts of citizenship, and respecting diversity, opinion, and other opinions.

In turn, the President of GJU, Prof.  Ala’aldeen Alhalhouli, stated that this group of students had completed a semester of training through dialogue and educational sessions that discuss national issues such as the electoral law, parties, sustainable development, and other activities, which contributed to refining their personalities, increase their experience, and acquire the basic principles of the democratic process and advocacy skills.

Furthermore, students Ammar Al-Falahat and Raghad Youssef delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of the skills and knowledge gained from the “I Participate” program, where concepts about democracy and political life were corrected, in addition to enhancing their self-confidence and dialogue skills.

At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed to the graduates.
