The Local Community Development division and the Engineering Workshops of the School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) held vocational training courses in metal forming, welding, carpentry, and decoration for the local community in Naour District.

These courses embody the GJU's vision to serve the community by contributing to the development and training of community members and providing them with skills in several professions required for the labor market.

The Assistant to President for Campus Affairs, Ikram Al-Naji, indicated the university's interest in organizing various training programs for the community, including professional training courses, English language courses, communication, leadership, preparing and implementing small projects.

She indicated that these courses develop the participants' experiences and qualify them to compete for job opportunities in the local market.

It is noteworthy that the professional course programs that are conducted in the university's engineering workshops; include theoretical and practical training, the use of tools specific to each profession, the production of realistic models, and an introduction to the public safety factors.
