The German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted the launch of the climate march of the Green Generation Association, in cooperation with ActionAid in the Arab region, under the title "Jordanian Youth Response to Climate Emergencies."

The march, which is implemented within health requirements and public safety measures, aims to shed light on the issue of climate change and its effects on the planet and draw attention to the most fragile and affected ecosystems in Jordan, such as nature reserves and the Dead Sea.

It also aims to highlight the role of Jordanian youth in creating an environmentally safe future through local policies and encouraging the use of sustainable means of transportation.

Thirty participants joined the march. They plan to cross a distance of 350 km over in five days, starting from Madaba, passing through Karak, then Tafila, and ending in Aqaba. The trip will include awareness activities such as planting trees, bicycles rides, and lectures.

The Dean of Student Affairs at GJU, Dr. Thelal Oweis, welcomed the guests and wished them a successful and fruitful journey. She stressed the importance of the cause praising the Association’s efforts.
