Office of Advisor to the President for Local Community Affairs at German Jordanian University in cooperation with the Public Security Department/ Tourist Police organized training courses in languages and communications skills for the Tourist Police Staff.  

During the launch event that was held in Building G on Sunday October16, 2016, Public Security Department Assistant Director for Traffic Affairs Brig. Gen. Fawaz Maaitah thanked GJU for this initiative of offering Tourist Police Staff training courses and pointed out to the importance of enhancing the cooperation in order to allow the students to learn more about the Public Security Department.

GJU President Professor Natheer Abu Obeid expressed the university’s pride to strengthen the partnership with Public Security Department and said that GJU believes in the importance of education and training to raise the efficiency of human resources to enhance their expertise and develop their skills and thus enable them to play their role with confidence and competence, adding about 140 officers and non-commissioned officer of the tourist police will get training courses in languages and communication skills.

Tourist Police Department Director Brigadier Dr. Ali Zoubi said the Hashemite leadership was keen to develop the tourism sector, which is the most important part of developing the national economy, and provided all the capabilities and facilities to advance this sector as well as providing protection and safety to all tourists and guests in Jordan.

It is worthy to mention that the training courses classes started on Saturday, October15, 2016 with 140 participants of officers and non-commissioned officer of the tourist police.
