The Deanship of Scientific Research (DSR) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a lecture via Zoom, conducted by Fulbright Jordan. Vice Dean of DSR, Dr. Ismail Abushaika, and the GJU Faculty members attended the lecture.

The lecture aimed at introducing GJU’s faculty to the Fulbright scholarships, awards, and grant opportunities to Jordanians.

Ms. Rana Al-Anani and Mr. Naser Al-Malkawi presented the programs offered to Jordanians by the Fulbright Commission; Jordanian Fulbright Scholar Research Award (Post-Doctoral) and Jordanian Fulbright Foreign Student Scholarship (Master’s Degree).

The Fulbright team explained that the Post-Doctoral program is designed for Jordanian scholars interested in pursuing a specific collaborative research project in the United States for a period of stay ranging from a minimum of four (4) months to nine (9) months maximum.

Moreover, master’s degree scholarships are offered every year to qualified Jordanian students for higher study and research in the United States of America.

Dr. Muna Hindiyeh, an academic member of the School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management (SNREM) joined the meeting and shared her experience as Fulbright Alumna from North Carolina University. She contributed by providing the attendees with details about studying and living in the USA along with her family.
