The German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a panel discussion to present its strategic vision for 2022 and beyond, in the presence of the President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, GJU’s academic staff members, and the academic partners of GJU’s networks in Germany.

The event, which was conducted face to face and remotely, within the German Jordanian Discourse Series, aimed to highlight points of shared interest in the German and Jordanian scientific community and to offer a platform for the exchange of ideas and opinions, as well as contribute to the development of both systems to enhance the excellent scientific relationship between the two countries that serve the national priorities and the local community.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Halhouli stated that GJU's strategic vision to be internationally recognized as an Applied Science University, to be a leader in education, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, also to stand out as a role model in strengthening the bridges between Germany and Jordan and the world. Dr. Al-Halhouli also presented the university's plans and projects, achievements, and work priorities for the next phase.

Furthermore, Dr. Al-Halhouli added that the strategic pillars rely upon providing applied education for students, nurturing and embracing research, ideas, and innovation, supporting a culture of entrepreneurship, developing high-quality research outputs to contribute to achieving national priorities. In addition, developing technical, multilingual, and multicultural professionals who can contribute to the global competitive market, support community participation, gain a positive relationship with university society and stakeholders to reach excellence in administrative performance towards sustainable growth.

Dr. Al-Halhouli confirmed that GJU allocated 12.7% of the budget to support scientific research, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He stressed that GJU's mission revolves around developing its members to become dedicated citizens who seek knowledge and science in a global society for life through education, applied research, the enhanced German dimension, and industrial participation in enabling conditions to meet international educational quality standards.
