GJU participated in the USAID/ Energy Sector Capacity Building – Energy Sector Women’s Networking Event, which was the first of its kind in Jordan and took place on the 19th of May 2015,in the Sheraton Hotel- Amman.

Two of GJU’s Energy Engineering students, Doa Ahmad and Haya Hamasha stood on the GJU booth, representing the University’s School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management (SNREM) which is comprised of the departments of Energy Engineering and Water and Environmental Engineering. The students networked with many of the guests in order to provide them with information for those who are choosing to pursue engineering degrees especially in the field of energy. A lot of the guests were interactive and engaging and showed huge interest in the GJU booth especially those who are looking forward to study masters in the Environmental and Renewable Energy Engineering program offered at GJU.

GJU has also interacted with some of those companies that showed interest in cooperating with SNREM department at GJU in order to work together with the students on projects that could create a step forward for Jordan in the renewable energy field.
