Amman- April 8, 2017 

On Saturday 8 April 2017, a National Campaign for Environment called "cry of a homeland”, was held to clean-up public and tourist sites across the country.

This event was organized by the Ministry of Environment, involving civil society institutions, sports clubs, cooperatives and environmental NGOs in Jordan.

GJU participated in this event with the cooperation of Hasban municipality, Naour Directorate of Education and number of charities to clean the area and remove the rubbish that impedes the traffic movement.

Acting division of Naour Jamal Al-Faez supervised the campaign progress with the presence of committee head of Hasban municipality Dr. Riyad Al-Rawahneh where he appreciated the cooperation of all participants in this day.

Advisor to the President  for Local Community Affairs in GJU Abdalhakeem Arabiyyat, said that the university is proud to be part of this event, reminding of the importance of educating young people and engaging them in voluntary work to take responsibility toward their country and society.

 

From his side the Director of Public Relations and the university's spokesman Mr. Muneer Bani Yonis said that GJU is keen to participate in different national and social events since it understands its role in implanting citizenship values and strengthen the loyalty and belonging to our country.
