Empowering students to confidently enter the labor market
Amman, November 2020- As part of its ongoing commitment to giving back to the communities in which it operates, Talabat - the region’s leading food delivery platform - has recently signed a cooperation agreement with the German Jordanian University (GJU) to provide students with training at its different offices and projects throughout Jordan. The training duration is 160 hours per student, with the possibility of extension, after which each will be granted an official certificate upon completion of the program.
Moreover, GJU academic staff and students will have the opportunity to conduct research and graduation projects at Talabat’s facilities, and the Foodonclick.com - Jordan team will deliver lectures, presentations and special training programs to be included within the university’s syllabus. In turn, the GJU academic cadre will also be extending lectures and training programs within relevant fields to the Talabat team.
Additionally, Talabat will present GJU graduates with the chance to join its workforce by sharing vacancies with the university, whilst organizing student field visits to the Talabat premises and projects in Jordan on a regular basis. Periodic workshops and meetings will also be organized between GJU and Talabat representatives to evaluate joint activities and enhance potential cooperation between the two parties.

Talabat has recently expanded its services in Jordan to encompass Aqaba - underscoring its third expansion during 2020 following Irbid and Zarqa - and is currently seeking to further extend to various parts of the Kingdom. Meanwhile, Talabat continues to deliver food and essentials to citizens in their homes, on par with the highest safety and security standards.
